Example: if the challenge is 4000 m - (4 x 2 x 500 m) the change zone will be every 480 m - 520 m.

Rotation instructions

  1. Rower A who starts the race sits down on the seat with his feet fastened by the foot straps and holds the handle.
  2. The other team members stand at the starting line 1 meter behind the indoor rower.
  3. A rower can start pulling the handle only when he is sitting down on the seat.
  4. After rower A completed his relay leg, he puts down the handle in the handle hook, undoes the foot straps, stands up and moves behind the starting line.
  5. After rower A moves behind the starting line, rower B starts, he sits down on the seat, fastens his foot straps, picks up the handle and rows his relay leg.
  6. After rower B moves behind the starting line, rower C starts, he sits down on the seat, fastens his foot straps, picks up the handle and rows his relay leg.
  7. After rower C moves behind the start line, rower D starts, he sits down on the seat, fastens his foot straps, picks up the handle and rows his relay leg.
  8. After completion of his relay leg, rower D may stay sitting down on the seat.
  9. The valid result is either time or distance displayed on the monitor after completion of the set distance or time.
  10. In case any team member falls down from the seat during rowing, he has to sit down back  without anyone´s help.
  11. The correct rotation technique is shown HERE.

Method of rating
Standings are calculated as a percentage of the pace of the fastest team in each category. So, if the fastest team rowed the 4000 m in 12 minutes they would receive 100 points. If your team finished in 12:10 minutes (98,6% of the pace of winning team) you would receive 98,6 points.
